Affected by Freud’s theories of the unconscious mind, artists began creating paintings using dream imagery, multi-perspectives, unexpected juxtapositions and lighting, scale shifts, otherworldly atmosphere, and cryptic imagery. Using Magritte and Miro as our influences, we will make multiple quick studies of still life objects before creating a vibrant Surrealist drawing. Materials fee will cover class supplies. Please bring a lunch.
